Adoration House
This multifunctional building integrates seismic improvements, new utilities, and specialized acoustic features to accommodate a cafe, showroom, recording studio, offices, and classrooms, requiring intricate coordination with local utilities and transportation authorities.
BMDC provided construction services for this adaptive reuse project in Seattle’s University District, transforming the existing structure into a multi-use facility featuring a café, showroom, recording studio, offices, and classrooms. The project included a full seismic upgrade and new utility connections throughout.
With elevated acoustic requirements and a 15-foot-deep sewer line beneath University Avenue, the build demanded careful coordination with Seattle City Light, Puget Sound Energy, and the Seattle Department of Transportation, making it a uniquely complex and rewarding challenge for the entire project team
