Fonte bar, rainier square

This second-floor lobby space features a dual-concept venue featuring a coffee shop, fast-casual café, and high-end bar, and involved navigating complex site logistics, custom installations, and coordination with multiple stakeholders.

BMDC provided construction services to convert an existing lobby space at Rainier Square into a dynamic two-part venue featuring a coffee shop and fast-casual café on the north side and a high-end bar and restaurant on the south. Located on the second floor directly above an active PCC grocery store, the project required close coordination with the landlord and Whole Foods management, especially for sanitary sewer work involving off-hours access and challenging site conditions.

Key features of the build-out included an elaborate custom casework package, a walk-in cooler with a display window showcasing premium cuts of meat, and the installation of a Type I hood system with internal scrubbing, craned into place through the Rainier Square courtyard. Throughout construction, BMDC maintained strict safety, dust control, and access management protocols within the active business tower lobby.
