Mt. Joy

A former taphouse was transformed into a new fast-casual restaurant with reworked MEP systems, a redesigned front-of-house experience, custom solutions like a remote grease reclamation system and optimized grab-and-go staging.

BMDC provided Construction Services to create a new fast casual restaurant in the former Stoup Taphouse space located in the Sunset Electric building on Capital Hill.

BMDC re-worked the existing electrical, mechanical, and plumbing services allowing the new Mt. Joy tenant to utilize the existing kitchen. A former private event area was transformed to be the front of house experience. Unique elements include the installation of a start of the art remote grease reclamation system for the fryers and custom elements to optimize the grab and go food staging.
